Vice President, She UC
What is She UC?
She UC is an independent organization celebrating women at the University of Cincinnati. The collective strives to foster community and connection amongst women on and off campus by hosting events, workshops, and volunteering opportunities. She UC also maintains a digital platform that showcases the diverse experiences of female students, faculty, and alumna. If you’re interested in learning more about She UC, visit sheuc.org.
Why did I join and what do I do?
After spending my first co-op on the West Coast, I felt disconnected from campus life. I joined She UC because I was inspired and excited by the organization’s mission to empower women. As Vice President, my responsibilities are flexible and expansive. I organize our events, direct our social media channels, support our internal community, and manage our administrative tasks. I also contribute to our blog by photographing and interviewing featured women.
What did I learn from the Student Leader Round Table?
The Student Leader Round Table was a meaningful opportunity for me to build relationships, explore ideas, and celebrate growth with like-minded students. During times of isolation, I especially enjoyed learning from my peers and found myself looking forward to our bi-weekly meetings. The Student Leader Round Table introduced me to individuals who I otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance to interact with, including a representative from the Programs and Activities Council (PAC). After a particularly exciting meeting, we are now organizing an interorganizational event between PAC and She UC.
